APPROACH TO EDUCATION

At AL-IRSHAD SCHOOL, we consider the school as a dynamic production team .Administrators, teachers, and students are all contributors to this team. Knowledge and ideas is the product of the team effort .since students are the ones who benefit most directly from the product, they should be most concerned that the product is of a high quality.

Every member in our school has a job to do, everyone is accountable .Administrators ,pupils, students and staff in order to discover and correct errors .it is teamwork that allows every team member to reach heights that would be more difficult to reach individually

EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM

AL-IRSHAAD is  primary, secondary school  including memorization of the Holy Quran. It is non-selective, English –medium, independent day school catering for the complete individual.

AL –IRSHAD provides top-quality education to children of different  races ,nationalities  and backgrounds .we  believe we can add more value to our pupils to enable them to perform to the best of their abilities . Be admitted to the most competitive universities , and be successful in their careers, the school develops  students with academic competencies ,learning techniques ,interpersonal skills, and personalities in addition to instilling high ethical ,moral and civic values. The multicultural setting of the school helps students to develop a better understanding of world cultures.

CURRICULUM OVERVIEW

The curriculum implemented falls under the Federal Government of Somalia for Somali national examination council test at the end of every year to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to develop a solid academic foundation. This foundation will help students achieve their full potential and develop a love of lifelong learning

CLASS TEACHING

All subjects, courses for pupils, students at all levels are clearly structured to enable students and teachers to know precisely what should be learned .Teachers teach one concept at a time using Somali Ministry of Education curriculum with each lesson alternating frequently between    Oral work, individual work and group work in such a way that it is difficult for students to “switch of “.

Students engage in regular assessments using exams that teachers do not see in advance. Everyone in the school is accountable accordingly; students learn more in class and have more time for relaxation and fun after school.

STUDENTS FOLLOW-UP

Students who fall behind in their work are advised, motivated, helped and coached until they catch up .As long as they manage their own time successfully, student’s time theirs, otherwise help is given.

LEARNING PROCESS

All subjects and courses at our school are structured. A system of academic tracking, a computerized method of detecting gaps in knowledge-allows the administration to closely follow the progress of each individual .Gaps are pinpointed as soon as they form, and efforts are focused on eliminating them. Valuable time is saved and gap –free, cohesive structure of knowledge is built in students minds.

We also provide teaching learning activities for the learners as per their understanding.

CO CURRICULUR ACTIVITIES

We have co curricular activity principles in our school that teachers should have to perform multi-dimensional functions in organizing and executing extra-curricular activities .The teacher can be a planner ,leader, innovator ,director organizer, manager, recorder ,advisor, motivator ,communicator or coordinator.
