In response to the recent national examination results for Class 8, from Banadir Regional Education, in which approximately 2,000 students were unsuccessful, the Somali Education Solutions and Directory (SESEAD) has launched a targeted intervention program.
The initiative began with an assessment of English language and cognitive skills (IQ) for around 50 students at Al-Irshaad Primary and Secondary School. The purpose of this assessment is to evaluate the students’ current academic capabilities and identify specific gaps in their knowledge.
The data gathered from these exams will be meticulously marked and analyzed by SESEAD. The findings will be used to develop a focused support plan aimed at strengthening the students’ core skills. The ultimate goal of this program is to better prepare these students to successfully enter and sit for the national examinations in the 2026-2027 academic year.
